A little bit about me...

My name is Chris Conway, and I am currently a freelance web designer, web developer and graphic designer. It all started with a passion for computers and programming from a very young age. I was making computer games and working with computer aided graphics from the age of six when I received my very first Spectrum. This interest has been with me all my life, and I wasted the majority of my youth glued to a PC screen working on my latest project.

During my GCSEs I chose to take graphic design as one of my classes, and it seems my career path spurred from that moment. I finished my GCSEs with an A* in graphics, and apparently they are still using my project from that year as an example to the new students 10 years on, so I must have done something right :o)

I progressed on to college where two of my main subjects were graphic design and computer science A-Levels. My aim was to continue to university to take a seven year course in architectural design... Unfortunately this wasn't to be, as I became very ill with glandular fever in the middle of my 2nd year and couldn't complete my courses.

So, in to the working world I went, where my first break in IT arrived in the form of a position as assistant IT manager for a large call centre. I was in charge of looking after their clients and the various websites that went along with them, as well as the hardware and networking aspects of the job.

Several years, and a few IT/design jobs later, I decided to go freelance. And here I am! My online portfolio is coming together nicely, and I have had the opportunity to work alongside some great clients and creative minds along the way.

I realise now that I've been rambling, so I'll let you take a look at the system I use in my office to create these websites and pieces of digital art...
